Voices of the youth of Eastern DRC: “EXPRESS” (video 2/3)
June 1st, 2009
Listen! Young people from Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo speak out on “Condition: Critical”! Last week, Bahati, 14 years old, told his story from the hospital in North Kivu where he underwent treatment. This week, it is time for young artists of Goma to EXPRESS themselves. They are drawers, painters, musicians, dancers, and they have decided, through their art, to spread the word about the war that is ravaging their country.
In this video, we invite you to watch, listen and experience what they have to say.
This is the second part of a triptych dedicated to young people from Eastern DRC: “SURVIVE”, “EXPRESS” and “FIGHT”. Next week, the final video, “FIGHT” will bring an end to this videos focused on youth on “Condition: Critical”.

WITH EVERYTHING THATS GOING ON IN OUR LIVES TODAY,WILL NEVER COMPARE TO WHAT THESE PEOPLE GO THROUGH,NEVER LET ONE DAY GO BY THAT YOU DONT THINK ABOUT THEM AND KEEP THEM IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND REMEMBER, OUR WORDS ARE USELESS WITHOUT OUR DONATIONS.EVEN IF YOU DONT HAVE IT TODAY MAKE IT APART OF YOUR MUST DO LIST,THESE PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING. MAY OUR ALMIGHTY GOD BE WITH THEM AND COVER THEM WITH HIS PRECIOUS LOVE AND MERCY.IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE CAN BE BORN IN SUCH HELLACIOUS CONDITIONS WHEN GOD HAS BLESSED US WITH THIS EARTH AND HUMAN KIND TO NOURISH AND CARE FOR IT.WE CANNOT CONTROL THE EVIL MINDS AND BEASTLIKE MENTALITYS OF THE WORLD BUT I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT WITH OUR PRAYERS AND RESOURCES THAT JUSTICE SHALL PREV AIL.MY OUR FATHER OF THE UNIVERSE BLESS US ALL ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO KNOWS BETTER,AND USES THIER RESORCES TO HELP MAKE A CHANGE..ONE NATION UNDER GOD.
