Wounds dossier
novembre 24th, 2009

MSF launched Condition: Critical one year ago, to help the people of Eastern Congo tell their stories of survival, in the midst of a violent conflict that has persisted for more than a decade.
Over the past year, Condition: Critical has told these stories through web films, photography, and eyewitness accounts. Thousands of visitors from all over the world have watched, listened, read, and responded.
The site has now launched its final dossier - entitled “Wounds” - with an invitation to the world to again bear witness to the suffering of the Congolese people, and to leave behind their messages of solidarity and support.
The conflict continues. The people of Eastern Congo continue to be attacked, raped and robbed; continue to flee in search of safety; continue to lose their loved ones and their own lives. Their wounds, inner and outer, continue to multiply.
MSF goes on providing health care and humanitarian assistance to the people of Eastern Congo, and will look for new ways to communicate the terrible reality that its teams encounter there.
Condition: Critical will remain online as an archive. We urge you to explore it, and to tell others what you have seen.
